Our Hearts Are Full

Gracie is here. It’s been a long wait. Our daughter is here and we can finally hold her. She’s absolutely perfect and amazing. When we look at Gracie, we see Gracie. She may have this thing called Downs Syndrome, complete with a small heart defect, but this is our baby girl and we couldn’t be more thankful for her. She is fearfully and wonderfully made. Check her out.

Keep praying for this precious little girl’s heart. Now that she’s here and we’re able to get a good view of her heart, we are still seeing a defect that will need to be corrected (most likely surgically) at some point. We’ve been told it could be as soon as 12 weeks, or sometime down the road. Our next appointment is around the first/middle of March and this is where we find out more about a game plan.

No matter what, our hearts are full and we can’t wait to see what story God writes for our sweet baby Gracie. We’re forever grateful for this precious gift he has given us.
